While everyone and his grandmother was going gaga over what a great thing iPhone has been, there was one company which sat up an dtook notice of the drawbacks of the iPhone and has come up with a device which takes advantage of all the loop holes that were left open in the iPhone. Samsung F700 is the product which the company's fans claim as the the iPhone killer. Let us see, how sharp are the blades of this device.

Now the front panel of both the phones is same in ans much that both the phones sport a singe button on the front side. The rest is the touch screen. The phone comes with a 2.78 inches touch screen as opposed to the iPhone's 3.5 inch screen. So the Apple product wins this one hands down. But this is pretty much all that iPhone has to be happy about.

Samsung F700 is a 3G phone as opposed to the iPhone which comes with a 2.5G support along EDGE. Heck! Samsung has even dropped in a chip capable of 7.2Mbps.

Now iPhone comes with a mere 2 mega pixel camera Samsung announced that the phone would come with a five mega pixel camera yet dropped in only a three mega pixel camera which is still better than the 2MP option.

Next thing that Samsung has done in this phone is that the company put in a QWERTY thumb keyboard which can be slid out alike some of the Windows Mobile phones from HTC. This means that you do not have to rely on the touch screen for all the functionality. On the flip side by the time this comparison was made neither of the devices support native 3rd party applications although Apple has announced release of the iPhone API by the end of February 2008.

The phone is a great multimedia device and comes with extensive codec and file format support. You get various music and video options including some of those which are supported by iPhone and those which people wanted the iPhone to support.
