Samsung i900 Omnia looks very stylish and superb. It is designed to challenge the Apple's iPhone. The front view looks almost similar to iPhone except the buttons. The back view is also really more stylish and modern. The dimensions of this windows mobile are 112 x 56.9 x 12.5 mm and weighs 122 grams. It is available only in modern black colour.
Since the mobile is designed to challenge iPhone it has almost all the features of iPhone and moreover it has some more unique features. It has a very large 3.2 inches wide TFT touch screen, which can display from 65 thousand to 256 thousand colours based on the application, at a high resolution of 240 x 400 pixels. This phone has accelerometer sensor for auto rotate which sense the orientation of the mobile in respect to the user. Hence if you wish to view videos or document or anything as view on a monitor then just rotate it to 90 degree, the screen will change its orientation accordingly. This touch screen is enabled with handwriting recognition feature hence, no more problems because of small congested keyboard to edit the documents, just write as you do with a pen on a paper.
Samsung i900 Omnia is the first windows mobile which is loaded with 5 mega pixel camera, which can capture images at a maximum resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels; it is also featured with autofocus, image stabiliser, face tracking, smile detection, geotagging and flash to help you capture great moments easily. This camera can also capture videos of high resolution. This phone also has a secondary, somewhat low quality camera for making video calls.
This amazing phone is loaded with Windows Mobile 6.1 professional operating system, which is powered by 624 MHz Marvell PXA312 CPU. It uses 128 MB RAM for temporary memory storage. It has a very large internal memory of 8 GB and another version with 16 GB. If you think this huge memory is not sufficient for you then you can use external memory card.
This phone operates in second generation network with quad bands hence you can roam anywhere with this phone. In third generation category it is available in two versions one for US customers and other for Europe and rest of the world. This phone also has a built in GPS receiver with A - GPS, hence you can track where you are while roaming all over the world. It has good connectivity options and allows you to download at a maximum speed of up to 7.2 Mbps and it supports all the forms of data transfer between compatible devices except the IR, which is almost never used these days.
