Joining the winning lineup of CECT's iClone line is the new CECT A988. There was a lot of buildup to the A988's release and this phone hasn't disappointed consumers. Like the other iClones, the design is based on the iPhone, but the CECT A988 looks a bit different from most of the clones in that it relies more upon its texting tools. The A988 has keys and a small keyboard on the front of the phone. The A988 is a great phone for frequent texters.

Like the other clones, the CECT A988 is full of features like the ability to surf the internet, play music, record and watch video, text via keyboard (on the phone's face and by handwriting recognition), take photos with a 2 mega pixel camera, and enjoy Bluetooth.

One very unique and praised feature of this phone is the "TV out" function which means that you can plug the phone into a TV and watch video that you have taken or recorded.

The 988 has further improved upon the iPhone by: adding additional speakers and handwriting recognition; allowing you to remove the battery yourself; making texting easier; allowing you to view video on tv; and allowing you to use any carrier you wish (saving a lot of money on AT&T's monthly fees).

The A988 is among the new quad band phones. It will work anywhere in the world and will automatically recognize any sim without software.

The CECT A988 runs between $100 and $150. It is great for people who text a lot or who really like the TV out capability. This phone also gives you all of the iPhone features at a small fraction of the price.
